Len Fennelow of Gorefield

Private Len Fennelow of Gorefield, son of John Herbert Fennelow of Leverington, served in the Suffolk regiment at first,( service number 2334, then in the 14th Battalion Machine Gun Corps as a Lance Corporal. Len survived the war ( He was hopitalised with pleurisy ) and lived in La Mons, Fendyke Lane, built for him by his father after the war. Len is leaning from the railway carriage as it leaves Wisbech station with a group of soldiers going to sign up at the onset of hostilities.
