Lance Crpl. Arthur E Fennelow from Gorefield

Arthur E. Fennelow who was the son of John Herbert Fennelow of Leverington brother of Len Fennelow, and John Fennelow, joined the army into the machine-gun corps ( service number 63927) at the onset of WW1, then transferred into the Northumberland Fusileers ( service number 56738) as a Lance Corporal, survived the war and became a significant figure in the Congregation Chapel, and bowls team in Gorefield. He lived in 'Verdun " Fendyke Lane, Gorefield - built by his father, and then latterly in Homedale which he built himself.
